I don't like to think that I'm the kind of person that over-reacts to things. However, I am the sort of person who gets pissed off quite easily. So while I'm not too worried my journals going to be deleted, and I understand why lj have been doing what they've been doing, the way they've handled it has been beyond belief.

I'm not leaving, unless everybody else does. But I'm anitabuchan at GreatestJournal and shylemon at InsaneJournal.

Also, does anyone know if ljArchive can be used to archive a community? And if not, can anything? Only I was trying with babygunners, mainly for picspams and stuff that I don't want to lose, and it wasn't working.

It'll archive a community that you're the maintainer of, so it should work for babygunners. What sort of message were you getting, 'cause I archived one of my comms this morning and I didn't have any problems.

They've been deleting tons of journals. The majority in the Harry Potter fandom, I think. Lj have come out and said that if you have text or an image involving an under 18 year old having sex or similar, then that's enough that they can ban you for life if someone reports it. But then they've also said that just linking to said material is enough to get you banned.

And I'm all in favour of banning journals that do belong to beling to paedophiles, but I also know that I've linked to and am friends with people who have written about 16/17 year olds having sex, mostly in coming of age stories. And I have a few friends who are leaving lj because of the way they've handled it, so...I'm kind of just trying to be safe :).
